Our Adoption Process

All birds that come into Busy Beaks Box have a variety of different back grounds and arrive under many different circumstances. Some may have been through multiple homes, some may have been shown neglect and some may have been loved beyond belief.

We guarantee every bird that arrives into us will have:

• A Full Health Check

• Full Disease Testing To Include PBFD. Polyoma Virus, Borna Virus & Chlamydiosis

• CITES Article 10 Certificate (If Applicable)

• A Microchip (Transferable To Adopter)

• 30 Days Free Insurance
  Each bird that arrives to us is assessed on its suitability for future placements.

We assess if each bird is tolerant towards children, other birds, other animals, men or woman and we work to place each bird with a home that is right for the bird itself. Some birds may need an experienced handler so to avoid many behavioural problems. We have many vigorous checks to ensure that your home is right for placement.

Potential Adopter will need to complete a home check to assess their suitability, experience and lifestyle prior to making an application to adopt any of our birds. There is a £5.00 fee to book your home check and this can be booked by visiting the "Busy Beaks Box Shop" page or by clicking the link below.

Once your home check is complete you will be able to apply to adopt any of our birds subject to your ability to meet the birds needs. Please ensure you read their information update on the "Birds Available For Adoption Page"

​Once Successful you will receive notification on how to pay their adoption fee. 

Following Successful receipt you will receive your adoption pack packed full of goodies and discounts (examples include)

• Discounts to Online Bird Retailers

• A Busy Beaks Box Starter Kit Food Hamper

• Any much more
